500ml swing top bottle. Poured out a clear, golden yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It left thin lacing. It smelled of bready malt, caramel and floral notes. Sweet caramel, bread crust and subtle citrus taste.

Across the board I really enjoyed this one. Very balanced with a style-accurate malt profile of light honey and bread. Super drinkable and would happily try this one again.

Clear gold in color with a three-finger white head. Aroma is grains, bread and is well-balanced. Taste is also light roasted grains , bread and is well-balanced.

I had this on draft 8/20/24 @ Laschet's Inn.
Mostly see-through dark orange appearance.
Huge khaki head; nice lacing remained.
Cereal grain, autumn leaf & a hint of caramel in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Cereal grain & a hint of caramel flavors up front; autumn leaf notes on the finish.
Pleasant fall vibes.

Just saw this at the local liquor store for 3.99 a bottle. Corked bottle. .53 QT. It seems a little expensive, but totally worth it. Read the bottle now, the Best Before date is almost a year ago! Yikes, but it still tastes great! Good carbonation, great taste and smooth mouthfeel. This is what other lagers strive to be! If you get a chance to pick it up I would get more than one bottle. I'm almost finished with this one and want another badly! This is one of the best lagers I have ever had, and I've tried between 200-300 different beers.

Best of both worlds imo .. smooth easy drinking like an American lager but also has more flavor than a basic aal . Crushable with solid flavor.

my second from these guys, courtesy of a friend. its a neat beer, way darker than expected for a helles type, definitely some fuller grain to this, and its not blonde but pale rusty orange under its near inch of creamy and slow fading white froth. the clarity is good, looks almost marzen-esque, and smells bready and munich malty, old world beer for sure with high minerality and a distinctive ancient lager yeast, really quite timeless but definitely more grain character than most helles types ive experienced, light herbal hops on the back end and enough bitterness for this to present as very well balanced, faintly metallic as it warms, not sure if freshness is a factor or not, but it could be. the flavor comes in waves, the grain first, a copper wash, with some biscuity notes, caramelized depth but this isnt sweet at any point, then comes the yeast, which is also bready, its awesome with the grain, and this seems long lagered overall, has that maturity to it, hops come last, crisping a bit, adding a little pop of bitterness, but this remains about as malty a helles as ive had. it grows on me, i like it in a winter context, and what you lose in drinkability and refreshment, you more than get back in flavor. ever so slightly astringent once it warms up, good carbonation the whole time, and overall something a little different in an oftentimes samey style space. love the swing top bottle too, not many breweries still using those...

Appearance: Brilliant clear deep light amber color. Fluffy white head with good retention. Slow rising bubbles.
Aroma: Bready and grainy malt, floral hops
Flavor & Aftertaste: Bready, grainy, toasted bread crust. Mild spicy/herbal hops. Semi-dry. Restrained bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied, soft and well rounded. Drying with a moderate length finish. Moderate carbonation.
Overall: Outstanding German lager. A beer drinkers beer. This beer is made with all Munich malts and Hallertauer Tradition hops. Head retention was a hair short of what you're used to seeing form German lagers but may have been my glass or the pour itself. Full bodied, soft and well rounded. Semi-sweet with restrained bitterness. Malt forward with bread, grains and toasted bread crust flavors accented by a mild spicy noble hops flavor. No flaws. Very much enjoyed drinking this.

500ml flip-top bottle pours a rich amber brown color like a Märzen or a Vienna. Plenty of off-white head that mostly fades away fairly quick. Faint malt and noble hop aroma; taste is medium-heavy bready malt with some notable honeyed sweetness and minimal hops to close it out. The sweetness is a little cloying and could be balanced better. Medium carbonation and a medium body with smooth mouthfeel.
Good beer, but could have a better malt-hop balance. Feels kind of like a Helles, definitely not a pilsner. Probably won't buy again.
