Pours a clear, pale golden amber coloration with a medium, foamy, quickly receeding head and visible carbonation. Smells of toasted, grainy, bready malt and grassy hops, with some light herbal accents. Taste follows the nose, being dominated by toasted, grainy, bready, caramel malt and lighter grassy/herbal hops, as well as just a hint of dark fruit: raisin, fig. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some toasted, caramel malt and herbal hops lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
A very nice Dunkel that starts out sweet, but turns quite bitter in the finishes, with a lovely balance of toasted, bready, caramel malt and grassy/herbal hops.

Picked up a bottle of this beer at Franky's Getrankemarkt in Erlangen. I'm not totally sure it's a Munich Dunkel Lager. It could be a Märzen, but I couldn't find anything on the label or on the internet.
Short, dense foamy, pale cream colored head pops quickly to a thin film. Glowing amber beer has an orange hue. Crisp, sweet malt in the aroma along with some fresh spicy hops, a bit of dark bread, and a whisp of alcohol. Lots of munich malt in this one. Taste is full of malt flavor that is clean, and balanced by a dose of hop tea. Both flavors are cleared by mild bitter bite and some alcohol in the finish. Moderately light body with a burst of carbonation in the finish. Crisp, subtle flavors are just enough to make this one addictive.
