Rerate, 500 ml bottle, bought in a Prague minimarket. ABV is now 4.6%. Drank it at correct temperature this time. Upping the score just a little.
Original rating: 500 ml bottle, shared by a co-worker. Drank it a bit too warm. Cloudy golden colour, surprisingly moderate head for a hefeweizen. Strong typical h.w.-aroma of cloves and banana. ABV is 4.3%. The flavour is medium dry and light bodied, with moderate notes of cloves, hints of banana, minimal hops.

500ml Bottle from Ahold supermarket, Prague (20Czk):
Cloudy & light golden with a 1cm, foamy white head on top that holds very well with little movement.
Wheat & banana initially, with bubble gum & light citrus. Clove & orange notes made an appearance & the beer has a good balance.
Banana, clove & citrus firstly, with lemon & orange too. Somewhat sweet & slightly fruity with a basic wheat beer taste from the start.
Smooth & medium with a good carbonated feel to it that seemed almost fizzy at points & could possibly have been toned down slightly but this is a minor criticism. It proved easy to drink, much as I was expecting given the style and it was quite refreshing too.
Good but not much more than a standard hefeweizen taste & not quite up to the standards of most German offerings, Primátor Weizenbier; the only other Czech wheat beer I've tried. It had a pleasant taste & went down well but it's not one I'd seek out again.
