Ruby color brown, clear. Foam beige, high creamy, durable, very nicely adorned with glass.
Aroma: gently roasted, some dark fruit, wholemeal bread.
The taste of dark fruit and delicate roasted poorly.
Gentian low, lightly fried, high saturation.

Nose: Fruity character is complex and dances alongside other flowery notes. Traces of dark fruits, red fruits, lavender, roses and heather can be detected.
Mouth: Completly breaks off with the nose showing overwhelming coffee painted on a canvas of caramel and dried fruits. Finish is long and sweet.
Overal: Very juicy and complex, an absolute treat. Brewed in tradition with it's own distinctive twist. Would highly recommend to any lover of big Belgian darks.

Had this beer in Durbuy from a bottle in it's own chalice.
An appealing dark brown with minimal off-white head, fairly good retention. Looks inviting.
The aroma is a bit of a let down, some malt and sweetness with a hint of dark fruit.
A big letdown in flavour, quite lacking in anything discernible. Hints of sweetness, bitterness and some tartness. This brew is all over the map.
The excitement of trying a local brew quickly wore off with this one.

A quite dark brown color, with a light beige foam, average, a bit quickly to fall down.
Classic, standard smell, with a fruitiness tending to plum and sour cherries. Some biscuit malt in background.
Some dyacetil.
Banal taste, too, with light notes of caramel, light plum. A hint of tartness.
An overall useless beer.
Standard drinkability.
