Every beer haul, I try to get something from this brewery. It's often an interesting brew (and they have great labels!) This time was no different.

A-Very pretty. Clumpy dirty-white head. Dark amber liquid with lots of buubles rising at different speeds.

S- Open bottle smells of fresh hops. Strong sweet grapefruit

T- Light sweet grapefruit. Light LME taste. A lot lighter than I thought it would be. Watery but seems like a good watery taste for some reason. Medium bitterness. Yeast on the last pour is a welcomed addition.

M- So light. Slides right down. Really soft feel except for a bit of fizziness on the tip of my tongue from the considerable carbonation. Really surprising.

D- Very high. Hard to keep in your mouth as it's so light... you just can't help but swallow it.

I usually like my beers with more body but wow, this is particularly light beer. Feels easier to drink than water. Very special. I was surprised by this not good or bad just surprised.

Tasted a multiple times. Tasting not of May 30, 2009:

A: Amber color
S: Malts with sugar. The smell is of medium intensity.
T: Medium intensity. Mainly malts with a little touch of sugar.
M: Thin bodied.
D: Refreshing beer and easy to quaff. Drinkability is high.

Sugar touch appear to be a signature of this brewery. I get it in almost all bear tasted as of now (June 2009).

As a conclusion a pretty simple beer, however it is a good session amber beer. Always have some in my fridge.

bouteille brune de 341ml,

belle couleur rousse très foncé presque brune avec une mousse très compacte et durable, nez agréable, goût fort agréable chocolaté, petit goût métallique, très longue en bouche...belle bière comme la plupart des bières de cette brasserie.

Poured out a darkish chocolate brown, cloudy with an off white head, minimal lacing. The nose offers yeast, munich malt, good crisp notes. The taste was a good straight forward brown ale. Decent malt, some yeast and a cola like spice. The mouthfeel has some decent crispness to it, and this is a very enjoyable and drinkable beer.

341 ml bottle.

A- Brown with red highlights. Cloudy. Good effervescence. Dissapointing head that dissappears quickly.

S- Malty. Caramel and some faint berries. Roast aromas.

T- Bitter and roasted flavours up front. Just OK hops finish. Middle is lacking. It is a bit watery and need more malt character to balance out the bitter flavours.

MF- Medium bodied. Like the rest of the beer it is acceptable but uninspiring.

D- An OK ale, but I'd been hoping for more, especially at the price.

341 mL brown bottle, undated.

Pours a deep brown that glows red when held to the light. Rich tan head that leaves some lacing.

Citrusy, resinous aroma with faint roasted notes.

Caramel malts are pushed to the background by a strong citrus bite. Some grassy notes come through as well. Intensely bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel is on the thin side with very high carbonation.

I find it a bit unbalanced, with an exaggerated emphasis on the hops.
