This beer pours with a tight rocky head with good retention and a bit of lace. Color is a medium amber. Overall a very attractive glass.

As fitting the style there is a pronounced hop aroma. It is heavy on the herbal and piny notes, which also dominate the taste. There may be a touch of a metallic taste in the background. The hops balance a good malt sweetness and medium body.

The overall impression reminds me a bit of good ole Ballantine IPA although I think the hops could use a little tweaking. While English IPA's seem to have almost disappeared in these hop-infused times, this one seems like it is on the right track. I will hope to catch up with it again sometime and see how this nanobrewery is developing.

Bottle: Poured a dirty beige color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and not much lacing. Aroma of earthy hops is more or less interesting. Taste is dominated by a grainy malt base with earthy hops with subtle bitter notes also noticeable. Body is quite full with average carbonation. Lacking hops for the style and the hops profile is not that good.
