Lots of roast, very dry and bitter taste, very bitter baking chocolate, and one dimensional at that. Above average mouthfeel. However not so drinkable.
500 ml. is too much. Weak for the style. Thick black appearance, aroma is very roasted malt, with some burnt bits.

A - Served from a 500mL bottle into a pint glass. Generous head, beige, with relatively large bubbles. The beer is very dark, black with a brownish hue.

S - Nice smell, quite sweet, herbal and perfumy, some notes of chocolate. Good point: I cannot smell the alcohol!

T - At first, I can taste a hint of alcohol but the general taste confirms the herbal smell. It's rather complex and, after the first sip, a dominant taste of roasted coffee as well as notes of chocolate appear.

M - The carbonation is abundant, it gives a crispy feel that I don't really appreciate. I expect a more smoother and creamier mouthfeel from an Imperial Stout. Additionally, it is very thin!

O - This beer shows an excellent drinkability and a good balance between the herbal and chocolate notes. However, the character could be stronger and the mouthfeel really needs to be improved . A good imperial Stout but it doesn't come from heaven...

PS: I've heard this brewer would benefit from being more constant...

Bottle: Poured a clear black color stout with a large foamy head with medium retention and some light lacing. Aroma of light dry roasted malt with light dry raisins notes. Taste is sweeter then expected with a thin mouth feel. Body is too light for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not really interesting for style with body way too light.

A- Poured carefully yet the glass is over 60% head. Black with coca-cola highlights. Head surface has the colour and texture of linen.

S- Very metallic. A bit of chocolate. C02.

T- Weird. It's like the flavours are all separated. A bit like when a beer freezes and the alcohol separates. Tastes more like a hot brown ale. Lacks roastiness and that big stout edge.

M- Very thin. Dry. Weird how the carbonation is pretty high but it still feels flat.

O- Like I said, a bit like a hot alcohol brown ale. Much too thin. A bit like a beginners homebrew.
