12oz. bottle poured into a pint glass
Appearance - The beer pours a slightly hazy pale gold with a fairly large fizzy white head. There is a low amount of carbonation showing, and there is some pretty decent lacing. The head lasted for 3 or 4 minutes before it dissipated.
Smell - pale malts, a grassiness, citrus zest, corn, bread/grains
Taste & Mouth - The beer has a fairly nice mouth feel; not a whole lot of carbonation, but it leaves the beer feeling nice and velvety. There is a strong bread/grain flavour mixed with a hint of citrus zest. It also has some corn and light hop flavour. It finishes with a slightly bitter and grainy aftertaste.
Drink - An average beer, not sure I'd seek it out again, but I wouldn't turn it away if offered one..

Bottle from a variety pack purchased at the brewery's new location in St-Alexis-des-Monts.
A- rapidly decreasing head. Few bubbles in the beer. Clear golden colour. Beer looks dead after a few minutes.
S- Sweet. Rice beer. Noticeable ethanol scent.
T- Watery. A bit of hops bitterness. Reminiscent of Budweiser.
MF- A bit watery, thin. Refreshing though. leaves a dry feeling in the mouth.
D- Very easy to drink and a definite thirst quencher. If you but the variety pack, give this to your macro drinking friends and keep the Ambrée au Sarasin and the Blonde d'Épeautre for yourself.

Bottle bought from a mix six pack: Poured a golden yellow color ale with a medium bubbly white head with minimal retention. Aroma of sweet malt is quite weak. Taste is sweet malt without any noticeable hops and a light body. Not bad just incredibly bland tasting.

Bottled: The pour put a pale yellow, lightly hazed ale in my tulip with a nice compact frothy cap. Lively effervescence. Nose is of buttery caramel and apricots. Light bodied ale has a spritzy moth to it...mild bready taste puncuated by musty nut tones ( almonds) finish is tangy, fruity and clean...a savory thirst buster.
