500ml Bottle conditioned: obtained from Norman himself when visiting his brewpub. Poured at home into an Abbot Ale glass tankard on 19 Jun 2013.
No sediment appeared to leave the bottle: slight haze to my old gold/amber coloured beer, on top a full and lasting head of off-white bubbles.
Norman, you've sold me a pup!
On the turn, this isn't right. Smells OK, malts and fruitiness fill the nose nicely.
The taste however is 'on the turn', not undrinkable, but not far off: this is going to go through me like a dose of 'you know what' but I'll not throw it away, I'm too mean. A Red Leicester Cheese and Branston Pickle roll helped me make it through the brew: well half of it anyway, I did have to drain pour some.
I shouldn't really post this: but this is the third beer I've had to pour away from this brewpub and I didn't write about the other two out of politeness to Norman who I know fairly well. Sorry Norman, but you must not sell beers that are off!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
