not sure reserve is still in the name of this beer, a light and easy drinking blonde, and like the pils they make, a solid offering but not the kind of beer i know and love them for, thats for sure, this one hits just ever so slightly cheap to me, like almost corny in a way, sweet in the center, but its easy and simple in a way that makes it appealing, and was a fine side car to some higher end whiskey, always good to have a beer along for that ride as well. poured at a bar i didnt have eyes on, i think from a can, and it was without much head by the time it came to our table and didnt fill the shaker pint it was served in, not the best look, but the carbonation in the beer itself is ample. blonde and simple looking, with a light grass and straw nose, some perhaps noble hops in play, light orange and green tea, but thats looking for nuance, this is just a beer that smells like a beer, maybe not as snappy on the ferment as it could be, golden ale vibes, ever so slightly richer. the flavor follows, a little mid palate sweetness, then drier later, pils-esque on the malt side, a little floral too, a jasmine note, light back end bitterness just enough to balance, and some faintly grainy linger. lighter bodied, carbonation falling away, some nice minerality, good but not great, not crazy well refined and really nothing special overall from a brewery that is certainly capable of delivering special...

NOTE: This does not have the word "Reserve" anywhere on the label that I can see; not sure if this is a different formulation or not. Pours a very pale golden color with a very minimal head that quickly vanished. Faint aroma of doughy malt and honey. Taste mostly follows - clean sweet grainy malt, very mild bitterness. Light bodied and carbonated, it fulfills its purpose as a patio pounder.
