Parsing through the notes and database, I noticed this one has not been entered. Weird, its not like a super rare one off, they bottled and sold it. My notes are from having it on draft. Have not tried a bottle of it yet. I got out of buying bottles of this stuff since they tend to be about twice the price point of similar beers.
Pours black, 1/2" brown head, somewhat impressive given that this has additional sugar and coffee in it compared to any other variety. Aroma was both coffee and maple, they overshadowed but did not drive the barrel and roasted malt notes into extinction/oblivion.
Taste was a great blend of all the sensory aspects, bourbon and roasted malt vaulted up higher onto an almost equal plane with the coffee and maple. This is really good stuff. $28 a bottle though at the brewery, it ain't that good. Well, maybe once. Much more preferable to just bang through all this flavor at the Eclipse party.

The nose is a strong sweet maple front, the coffee comes in on the taste with a beautiful balance of bitter roast with the coffee and the sweet maple continues to keep it balanced without overtaking your attention to the coffee. Ending the taste with a much welcomed easy gulp and a fine coffee and maple after taste that will welcome the next taste of the brew.
