Wow, I guess I'll be the maiden voyage for a tequila barrel Eclipse review. This was the party bottle in the 9th or 10th year, can't remember. I think the dude I bought a ticket off of kept my bottle. Whatever. Like I don't have enough Eclipse floating around the cellar. Anyways, this is a review from the beer that was consumed on tap at the Eclipse party. Pours black like every other Eclipse with a 1/3" brown head.
The taste is sweeter, the impact of the tequila barrel is very noticeable, sets it apart from all the other Eclipse beers the same way that the brandy barrel one stood out amongst all the other whiskey/bourbon ones. Really makes it even easier to drink (and it was already pretty easy) seemingly hiding the alcohol even more. Really love the different kind of sweetness it brings. That agave. Lighter feel to everything, even the wood used. Still has tons of roasted malt and chocolate malt vibe to it. Would really like to see them put this into production, but even as good as it was, would I pay $30 for this? Prolly not. Eclipse priced itself out of the market.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
