I wouldn't drink this beer expecting much peanut butter. It's VERY hidden. There, but barely. It adds a subtle touch to the taste and mouthfeel. Otherwise an excellent imperial stout base.

Shared with Stofko1992 as a congratulations on his new career path as assistant brewer at Two Rivers Brewing Company. This big stout pours jet black with an impressive mocha colored head on top. The smell of the beer is well balanced, lots of roast and barrel notes on the nose up front and very subtle peanut and coconut hidden within. The taste has a nice sweetness upfront that fades into a more dry bitter dark chocolate finish. The feel is smooth, not overly thick and finishes without being hot from the higher ABV. Overall I liked that this beer doesn't smell or taste artificial like some of the peanut butter beers on the market, this one is solid and stand true in the sense that you don't need to go crazy on adjuncts. Really well done!

Smooth with just the right amount of peanut butter and a hint of coconut. Extremely well blended

2020 Vintage
Appearance: Very dark brown bordering on black with a generous sized, thick, beige head that slowly faded. A nice looking imperial Stout and nothing to change here.
Smell: Mild Bourbon aromas, mild peanut butter aromas, mild coconut, and mild brown sugar aromas.
Taste: Moderate Bourbon notes, moderate peanut butter and coconut notes, mild roasted malt notes, faint toffee and tannic oak notes. The roasted malts and tannic oak notes dry the beer out in the finish. For it's listed 11.4% ABV the alcohol is fairly mild.
Mouth-feel: On the light side of medium bodied with a fairly generous level of carbonation. Like a lot of the Eclipse variants not the thickest stout in the world but not overly thin.
Overall: A good Eclipse variant. Not overly noticeable, but the peanut butter and coconut additions come off as genuine and integrate well in the flavor profile.
