Had a playoff football game to coach last year. Stayed in Truckee. Can't stay in Truckee and not dip in to one of my fave breweries, ever. When they speak of the OG who has been to every single Eclipse party, you tell them b.a.r.f. is the man. Guess I dipped into something big too, what a wake up call that was. Anyways, here I am adding this beer to database almost a year later. And reviewing it, the hero Next Glass Advocate needs.
Pours golden with really good clarity. 1/3" white head. Pretty. Aroma has that grain gang. Seems like a light traditional Hallertau Euro hop vibe.
The taste pushes grain and more perceptible lager yeast. Its a light bodied mouth feel that reveals more taste than heft. Its quite enjoyable hitting those late summer chill of an early fall vibes. Its got the right nuanced amount of hop bitterness alongside an airy bready aspect.
This is a winner. Its been awhile since I had any new beers from 5050 that weren't Eclipse variations, and this is a winner. Can it up.
