Had this about this time last year at the brewery. Wet hop beers, I'm down. This one is made with Centennial and Cascade. Even though that was a year ago, here I am, adding the beer to the Next Glass database, and also reviewing it, because this place is sorely lacking a Real, American, Hero.
Doesn't have the sexiest appearance, kind of like a debt ridden type hitting the big four-O replete w injections and cutting as a cope. Its yellowy-gold and has a 3/5" white head. Not great at clarity, but wet hopped beers rarely are. The aroma was decent, had the typical pine and grapefruit rind push to it. Pretty nice for classic C hops. No proprietary fruit stripe gum hops up in here, up in here.
Taste was clean, had that icy Simcoe like effect some of the newer Centennial and Cascade hops have been throwing down. Good grain body that is light and sturdy. Reminded me a bit like a wet hop SNPA without the crystal malt. Pretty crisp stuff all the way down.
