Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with honeycomb.
Now in its 16th Vintage, 2023 Eclipse is our rich Imperial Stout aged to perfection in whiskey and spirit barrels. All Eclipse stars with the same base beer bringing hints of dark chocolate, espresso, and a smooth complexity, with each barrel treatment delivering its own unique character after a minimum of 180 days of aging, Honeycomb is infused with local Plumas County honey from Lost Sierra Honey Co.

500 mL cream-colored wax tipped bottle, into a snifter
Everything else is the same here except the off flavor. It's got a band-aid-y, rubbery thing going on. And it's not phenolic. Definitely avoid this variety if you like the other Eclipse flavors.

Pour is deep brown / black with a khaki head. Good retention.
Nose is honey, roasted malt, char, coffee.
Taste is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, subtle bourbon notes, honey. Bourbon is quite subtle / minimally present. Ideally it'd be featured more.
Smooth, cream, full body. Not overly sweet. Nice "classic" imperial stout - solid roast; not overly sweet.
