Poured from a bomber into a tulip glass, it came out a coppery amber with a small head, quickly dissipating into a ring around the glass. Christmas spice was most of the nose, with a little malt in there as well. Flavor followed the nose, but it was not overwhelmingly nutmeg and christmas spices. Pleasant!

Poured from a bomber into a shaker pint, the beer is a muddled auburn-brown coloring, with a foamy halo of off-white head. Nose of rich toffee, roasted notes, and a solid spice blend of nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon. Flavors are very rich and sweet forward, with a solid blend of toffee, caramel, and gingerbread, and a spice blend of ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Subtle earthy notes, too. Smooth, mid-bodied, with a crisp edge. The aftertaste is smooth, light lingers of the sweet characteristics, with a stronger spice component. The finish is smooth and crisp, with a subtle spice linger. Solid brew.

Pours a clear bronze color with a thin light beige head atop.Mild cinnamon and nutmeg detected in the nose and that's about all I get.Spiced but not overly so on the palate with the cinnamon standing out most but I also get, clove and nutmeg underneath,a graham cracker-like note in the finish.I like a good winter warmer but this like many others I have had this year seem to not quite reach the level I was hoping for.

Ruby red color with little to no head.
Nose is full of aromatics. Lots of spices cinnamon and nutmeg really shine through.
The spices are also very present in the taste. Cinnamon nutmeg clove. The malt is strong enough to provide a nice balance to the spicing.
Excellent holiday beer. Drinking it while watching Scrooge.

Preface - not a big fan of winter warmers.
Looks a nice ruby/copper with a fizzy head that fades immediately.
Nose is big on clove and I feel like nutmeg.
Flavor is bright with a nice bittering from clove and maybe allspice. A nice subtle and not overpowering winter warmer.
Side note: Had it also served 1/2 and 1/2 with their coffee house stout and it was quite nice - that comes across a lot like Xocoveza or other holiday spiced stouts - definitely worth a try.

I don't normally go for spiced holiday beers. But this is a good one: the spice is there, but not excessive, and the ale it's in is a good one.

Bottle says batch code 10 30 15
Appearance: It has a murky brown color with a short eggshell white head. The head fades quickly leaving only a ring. Not much lacing.
Aroma: I'm picking up some cinnamon and a good amount of clove.
Taste: Similar to the aroma there is a good amount of clove right up front. I'm getting a bit of a brown sugar or maple syrup flavor or sweetness to it. It's not like eating pancakes or anything, it's just in the background somewhere.
Mouthfeel: Feels a little thin and low in carbonation.
Overall: It's a pretty laid-back average spice beer. Nothing too spectacular. I checked the Alewerks website and it says "This winter warmer is perfect for a cold day. Brewed with cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, clove, honey, vanilla, and orange peel." I'm glad they didn't over-promise these flavors on the actual label. Overall it drinks a bit like an old pumpkin spiced ale that has been sitting around for a long time where some of the flavors have fallen off and only one or two remain. The clove and light cinnamon work pretty well but the beer needs more body and carbonation. The flavor of the actual beer is way too subdued. It's probably not a beer I will pick up again.
