From the side label, stamped and slightly worn: "BOTTLED ON 12 19 2017"
Appearance: The body is cloudy and straw gold colored. It has a short creamy textured white head with good retention.
Aroma: It has a fairly strong souring fruit aroma, smelling a bit like over-ripe raspberries.
Taste: There is a very interesting cinnamon flavor that comes through up front, joined by a tart raspberry flavor. A touch of very light cedar pads out the finish of the beer.
Mouthfeel: It feels slightly tart but the body is far too light to support much of anything. As soon as the beer leaves the palate there is nothing left behind; no ghost of any flavors or character from the beer. Carbonation feels right.
Overall: The body of the beer just isn't there to support or amplify this beer. While it does have some soft but notable aromas and flavors it just leaves the palate wondering if the next sip will be better. I wouldn't recommend buying it unless you are specifically interested in the wild ales Alewerks has been working on for years. I wouldn't buy it again.

Their Springhouse Saison aged in Chardonnay barrels for a year on Brett. The price scared me but this beer is fantastic and worth checking out. Light yet tart and complex

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
