Perfect for both a hearty course sheltered from the freezing snow or the first picnic of the year when the weather breaks. The malty, gently sweet flavor is balanced with an herbal, citrus hop aroma.

From the side of the paper label on the bottle: "BOTTLED ON 01 03 2020"
Appearance: The body is hazy brown and bronze with hints of gold and orange at the edges. The head is large and dense with foam. It has a pock-marked surface at the top of the head and a slowly receding head gives way to quality lacing. Very good head retention.
Aroma: It smells a bit like burnt rubber and carbon.
Taste: It has a campfire taste up front with carbon and pine. The middle is very charcoal-like. It finishes with a very bitter tasting grain flavor which carries through to the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: The beer feels medium bodied and fairly dry. It has an exceedingly strong bitterness which overpowers the beer. It is quite unenjoyable to drink.
Overall: I am not sure what the brewer intended with this beer. The labels states that this is "A Sincere Auburn Ale with Sweet Caramel & Herbal Aroma." The beer is not at all sweet but rather it is very bitter. The pine character of the beer is somewhat redeeming but as a whole I could not recommend this beer. I wouldn't drink it again.

Overall, a great Amber. Poured from a bottle into a glass with sediment roused. Crazy murky. Almost looks like freshly pressed apple cider. Great head retention and lacing. Bright hop aroma. A hop-forward flavor with some lingering bitterness over a light malty finish.
