There is a date code stamped above the barcode but it is difficult to read. The year does show "2021" but the day and month are cut off.
Appearance: The body of the beer is a desaturated pink and red color with hints of dull orange and light brown. It has a good deal of haze and only very dark and fuzzy shadows are visible through it. The head is medium-sized and fluffy with various bubble sizes. It has decent head retention as it slowly fades in the glass. No real lacing but there a few splotches.
Aroma: It doesn't smell like any specific fruit but it has a very faint aroma of what smells like crushed Flintstones vitamins.
Taste: Up front there are notes of nondescript berry and black licorice. The middle of the mouth has an odd flavor of pumpkin spice. The aftertaste is more pumpkin spice.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a light astringency. Carbonation feels good. A very light herbal bitterness.
Overall: The point of the beer was very confusing. It tasted a bit like somebody mixed a pumpkin beer in with another beer. The can states that this is a "BLUEBERRY VANILLA BELGIAN-STYLE WHEAT BEER" and all of those characteristics were lost in this beer. Although there is a bit of what might be considered berry, there is no blueberry. Vanilla is absent. It doesn't taste at all like a Witbier. As a whole the beer was muddled and a flop, completely missing the brewer's intent. I don't recommend it and I wouldn't drink it again unless it was with the brewer who was trying to explain what was going on in this beer.
