The date code on the rim of the can has a smudged month, but the rest of it reads: "/17/22"

Appearance: The body is a medium shade of gold with a ton of large white chunks that are floating around inside. The chunks look about the size of red pepper flakes. The head is medium-sized and white. It has good retention but no real lacing. The beer looks good with the exception of the chunks. Initially there were only a few chunks when pouring the beer, and I initially had a rating of 2.5. I started to pour more in the glass and it started to fall out in larger chunks which have taken up the majority of the glass. At this point it looks undrinkable and I have decided not to continue drinking it. This happened after I had already taken notes on the aroma, flavor, and mouthfeel.

Aroma: It smells like cabbage. There is a light aroma of what smells like grapefruit but mostly it has this cooked cabbage scent.

Taste: Up front there is some tart cherry and tangerine with some cardamom. The middle of the mouth is sour with this odd sickening fruit flavor mixed with bitter grapefruit. The back of the palate extends what was on the middle, and the aftertaste is old ice flavor. It isn't pleasant and only barely drinkable.

Mouthfeel: Drinkability is low and it has this odd sourness mixed with an awkwardly misplaced bitterness. It isn't pleasant to drink.

Overall: Quite simply, it is bad. The can states that this is a "DOUBLE INDIA PALE ALE BREWED WITH PEACHES" and it fails to deliver on both the peaches and the Double IPA. The appearance is horrible and there really aren't any redeeming qualities to this beer. I always look forward to trying the next new thing from Alewerks because they typically make good beers. It has been many years since I have poured a beer down the drain but this one is going straight down the drain. I would not drink it again. I highly recommend against buying it.

It isn't often that I have to go back and add comments to a beer review after a drainpour. After pouring this out, it left so much residue and chunks on the flaps over my garbage disposal that I had to spray them down. It is ridiculous that this lack of quality control made it into a can from a brewery like Alewerks.

Was very excited about this beer, but honestly a average DIPA. At first sight pour presented a hazy IPA with lots of citrus scents and taste. Not as much peach as I’d expect. Lots of chunky bits when poured from the 16 fl Oz cans. Typically sold in four packs. This was the same on all four individual cans, which was purchased during the same month of release. A okay IPA overall.
