Brewed to benefit the local LGBTQ+ community, this starts off better than a throw away just for a cause. The entire contents of a pint can emptied into a clear glass liter mug reveals a lovely beer drinkers' sight. The brew is richly copper-amber, bright and somewhat hazy. There's a near perfect off-white head on top. The aroma is piney hop forward with some backing malt. That's also the way it goes down. The hops are piney and what the malt contributes adds to some earthiness, but not much complexity nor sweetness. The ABV is at an acceptable taste level. Overall, this fits nicely into the West Coast style AIPA. The hop bite is no joke and no one should confuse it with anything fruity. Although not a standout feature, the body is good enough for that category. There was almost no glass lacing, but the modest head endured. If love is sharply and earthy bitter hops, this is to be loved, no matter what others may think.
