Dark copper color with a thick thin off-white head.
Malty aroma with notes of caramel, toasted malts, some bread crust and faint dark fruit.
Flavor with notes of bread crust, faint cocoa, a bit of pine and licorice and some dark fruit. Dry aftertaste with a medium bitterness.
Medium body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 7% is absent.
Tasteful Bock balancing malty notes with dark fruits and some hops behind the scene to still fit the style.

I'm trying the Schornstein Bock poolside at the Bourbon Hotel in Foz do Iguacu Brazil. It poured a clear deep amber with almost magenta hugh. There was a thin white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent is a faint syrup. The taste leans sweet and masks the higher abv. Not an easy beer to drink. The Mouthfeel is medium in body with smooth carbonation. Overall it's ok.

I took the promotion of beers that are to win and got this more rustic look for the label. Opaque, a little strong, leaving a quick taste of hops at the end. I prefer Rubine Theresópolis, even at the price here in Minas Gerais.
