A: The beer is dark brown (too dark to see if there is any visible carbonation). It poured with a short off white head that left a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Sweet aromas of candi sugar and toffee-like malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has sweet flavors with no bitterness whatsoever.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied on the palate and has a low amount of carbonation.
O: The hops in this beer are definitely muted, but the amount of sweetness in this beer could make it for a nice selection with dessert.

From a beer of the month bottle. Poured a crystal clear ruby to garnet color with a light brown head of foam that quickly settled down. Scent has notes of caramel, toasted malts, and a bit of alcohol ethers peeking out. A bit of earthy spices is also present on the nose (and the tasting notes also call this out). A very friendly taste greets the tongue, with low hoppiness, moderate maltiness, and a bit of alcocol. The taste is also a bit on the sweeter side, with the scents from earlier all appearing, along with a touch of coffee and toasted malts helping to balance out the sweeter flavors. Feel is medium bodied and smooth, with an aftertaste that matches the flavor quite well. A very enjoyable brew, especially if looking for a less hoppy brown ale.
