Bottle from kjyost, 12oz bottle into a tulip.
Pours pretty much black, dirty dark brown head. Moderate lacing, and light retention. Nose has a beautiful coffee bouquet, creamy, vanilla and medium roast coffee. Some coffee cake/bread, mild hazelnut, good sweetness over a gentle roast. Almost smells like snickerdoodle cookies a bit. Very nice here. Taste is a bit lighter, but still fantastic coffee flavours. Lightly roasty, nutty, creamy and mild bitterness. Touch of tartness. Medium light feel, and relatively low carbonation. Really nice coffee stout, one of the better ones in recent memory.

Had on tap at the Bryant Lake Bowl. It arrives black with a thin tan head. Has rich coffee aromas and flavors with an astringent coffee finish. The coffee comes in on two levels – from the roast malts and from the added coffee and it is interesting to taste how they interweave on your palate.

A: Quite black with a dark brown head--somewhat thin but steady--and lacing is great
S: Lots of dark roasted coffee--nearly espresso; some other dark fruits mingle with the coffee including the cherry; some subtle booze notes finish the aromas fairly nicely
T: A dry bitter coffee stout and I really like it; so roasty with chocolate and coffee taking the show with just a touch of dark fruits behind
F: Creamy and rather thick--nice body for a bigger stout like this
O: I am really impressed by this beer; one of my favorites from them; really a solid roasty coffee stout
