20oz pint at brewpub in Berkeley. Love this place and even happier this new IPA is one the menu - probably a result of the ownership recently purchasing Drakes..
Light amber color with minimal lacing.. Citrus aroma - definitley pick up some Cascade hops aroma..
Nice malty front followed by the wonderful hop hit which does make itself known well after the fact. Good mouthfeel - quite oily, not too thin..
Very drinkable!

20 ounce glass at the brewery for five dollars and some change, originally sampled this side by side with their normal IPA and their Quasar DIPA and this was superior, actually one of the better beers I had on my recent Northern California trip, consumed and 1/21/09 and reviewed from notes, color is a ruby reddish brown, 1 1/2 inch creamy off white head, some retention, light lacing, aroma has lots of pine and grapefruit hops up front, also a nice caramel malt backbone, mixed berries, and citrus, flavor is dry at the beginning, mild chewiness in the middle, hoppy finish leaving a sticky aftertaste, fruit comes to the surface as it warms, dry and balanced mouthfeel, medium bodied, tasty bitterness lingers, could have drank much more of this, light on the stomach, bartender thought is was around seven percent, not too dry and just right, best beer I had from this brewpub, would love to drink again, recommended
