Look: Opaque burnt orange and even with a gentle pour a huge white head quickly billows up, slowly settling to a cratered pillow, leaving sticky lacing on the glass
Aroma: Pine, grapefruit rind, pineapple, passionfruit, Cannabis, strawberries, candied orange, fir needles, blueberries, and sweet bready malt
Taste: Whoa. A huge hit of citrus fruit, pine sap, and berries land the first delicious blow and soon joined by mixed berries, tropical fruit, and dank. More tamed citrus fruit notes linger for a bit and the tropical fruit and berries get a chance to shine before a hoppy – almost hop flower-like bite closes it out
Mouthfeel: Full, a little slick, mildly chewy but not crazy or palate-fatiguing, medium-high carbonation, and moderately strong and noticeable dryness on the finish
Overall: This is delicious and hitting the spot right now. I don’t know if these folks are a Grocery Outlet exclusive but I never see their stuff outside of that store and they have really impressed me with their lineup (that I have tried) in the last year. An awesome DIPA with a great and classic Pacific Northwest hop bomb profile – pine, citrus, dank, berries, and tropical fruit – but also with a great malt backbone that does its part in balancing the beer and stays in the backdrop and lets the hops shine. Tasty and recommended
