On draught at Bailey's, served in an imperial pint, appearance is hazy gold with a small off-white skim leaving sticky, foamy lace.
Smell is juicy citrus hops, tangerine. Brewed with Cascade, Nugget and Citra. There's a candied, almost toffee note to this, some butterscotch.
Taste really showcases the fresh hops, the tropical fruit flavors have a very clean, fresh brightness, lychee. Light bitterness, no significant malt note really. The fruit / hops are actually trending into overripe territory, there's a flutter of compost here, perhaps it's just the grassiness.
Mouthfeel is lighter, and just a touch sticky.
Drinkability is okay, it's one of the better fresh hop ales I've hap, and I'm generally not a fan of their greener flavors.
