Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma of smoke and sweet malt. Flavor is slightly smokey but it also has some weird flavors which are hard to identify (sour milk maybe? Weird, I know, but I swear I taste it...followed by some stale vegetables). After the second sip it was super repulsive and practically made me gag. It started to taste like rotting garbage. Absolutely disgusting.

On-tap at The Pit in Raleigh. Served a crisp copper with a thin diminishing head. Aroma is smokey caramel malt. The taste is smokey malt with subtle underlying hops. The beer is certainly light and smooth, with not too much abrasion from the smoke. This is a good light Winter beer, an interesting change of pace.

Pours a very clear amber with minimal head, quickly disappating.
The nose barely hints at the smokiness that you will find in the finish. The malt dominates the nose, with maybe a touch of lemon.
Very clean on the tongue, turning slightly creamy but tart on the finish. The smoke kicks in after the finish, and kicks in rather strong.
I'm guessing 5-5.5% on the ABV as the bottle is not labeled.
Overall, a very good beer.
