Nice classic malt-forward American Amber brewed once for Sawmill Taproom.

15ish SRM amber color, crystal clear. Ok head retention, but I really like the color - very brilliant. Caramel malt present in the nose, possible melanoidins, and a light noble-hop-like earthiness. Malts and the same light noble hop character all hit the tongue at once, then mid-palate become distinguishable. First the hop character fades away into a very rich toasty maltiness (Munich?) with hints of caramel. In the finish it becomes slightly nutty with English malt character. Low bitterness, but enough to make it nicely balanced. It has some complexity, but this one is a drinker.
