Off tap this beer was a clear gold color with a good amount of rising carbonation. The retention of the white head was so-so and the lacing spotty. The aroma was a simple but pleasant blend of sweet malt, vanilla notes and floral hops. The flavors, however, were again awkward. I tasted toasted malt and dry grains but also the unpleasantness of something like cardboard. Sadly, skunked, most likely. Still, to the brewer's credit, the beer's flavor profile was better defined than their comparable "Light" brews and I did get hints of lager-ing. The mouthfeel was ok, the body medium/light and the carbonation fine.

I am going to have to put this disclaimer on this and every other beer from Buster's. None of the Servers or Bartenders on duty knew much about their beers. Like type and ABV.

Appearance: I thought it was a little darker than gold more of a brass color. Nice head and lace. A lot of bubbles.

Smell: It smells crisp and sweet with a good hop aroma.

Taste: A little citrus like but mainly soapy.

Mouthfeel: Crisp but watery.

Drinkability: It wasn't one of my favorites at Buster's.
