Off tap this beer was a clear garnet color with a thin khaki head. The retention was not much to speak of and the lacing no better. The aroma was faint, a combination of toasted malt and sweet, biscuity malt. The flavors were sweet and... juice-like? Swear to God - juice! Once again I found myself asking "What the hell is going on here?!" It started with toasted grains and a little sweet malt but then it quickly went tart and sweet like cranberry juice or badly fermented cider. The finish was slightly smoky. The mouthfeel was watery, the body medium and the carbonation light. Not wholly unpleasant, but close.
