-spiegelau ipa glass.
A: Dark apricot orange coloring is dense in nature, filled with a feverish pitch of effervesce. Beautiful tan colored head of 2 fingers is strong all day on the hold, while spongey dabs of lacing exist on the vessel afterwards.
S: Sweet raisiny caramel malts, hint of light sour citrus and a light fruitiness of fresh apple peel and avocado. Strength is rather light, duration short.
T: Flavor was light caramel and alcohol spiciness. Hops of citrus-lemon grass is moderate in strength with a pretty even tempo throughout the drink. Warmth of dry citrus-alcohol occurs on the finish.
M: Nicely thick creamy malt base, alcohol citrus warmth and bitterness is relevant. A bit heavy on the malt side of things while a bit overly light on the hop side of things. Alcohol seems noticeable.
O: Nothing that really stands out, moderate flavor, a touch unexciting to drink, ok first try, hardly a repeat factor. single purchase.

I really like this beer. I have been enjoying it for almost a year now. I am always disappointed when my distributor is sold out. This beer goes down smooth, have great taste and color, and is one of my favorite go to double IPA's. I would recommend everyone to at least give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

dark amber color with a good head. some type of different fruit smell that Im not used to. Sweet sell with a lot of malts. Taste different than the smell. Has a lot more fruit but still has that great malt backbone. Te fruit must be some dark fruit. Still cant think of the smell and taste of that fruit. medium body and carbonation. Pretty good some what strong put pretty smooth beer.

This is a new one from the brewer's Stegmaier label, Cellar Series. Golden and slightly cloudy as you would expect of a Double IPA. Pours to a nice white head to tight bubbles -- laces nicely along the side of the glass. All the taste is on the mid-tongue for me. The hops are very much in evidence but excellently balanced so that they don't overpower the rich taste of the ale. And I detect just a hint of sweetness. If not for the 8.9% ABV this might make a good session ale. For those who appreciate a range of impression in the IPA class, this is definitely worth a try.

Very surprising beer from this brewery, and was pleased. Strong flavor, typical for double IPA's, and overall, a great double. I would recommend this one, especially from a smaller brewery.
