Limited run brew for local Pittsburgh icon Donnie Iris. I wish this would have caught on as I really enjoyed the few I was able to get a hold of. Nice carmel aroma/taste. Does not drink like a "light" beer.

I ran into this beer at a party and since I hadn't seen it before I dumped it into my glass.
It looks OK. A dull, golden color with a lot of carbonation bubbles moving around. The head is at least two fingers tall with good retention and pretty good lacing.
The aroma is fruity, a little vegetal and has some sweetness behind.
The smell aroused suspicion, but the flavor leaves no doubt; the Lion brewed this beer. It has that fruity, slightly cloying flavor that their house yeast adds to everything it touches. Aside from the fruity there is a grainy finish and a even a metallic hint of hops.
Light and well-carbonated.
The Lion makes about a million beers that have very few differences. I keep seeing them at different places and unwittingly trying them. I think it might be more entertaining than disappointing right now though.

A: Pours a deep rich carmel color with very little head.
S: Malty and sweet with a bit of hops thrown in.Very pleasant deep aroma.
T: Carmel and malt hit instantly then the hops. Doesnt look smell or taste light in respect to what i most often think of (I.E.Coors Light Miller LIght...)as light. Not watery.
M: Nice body but unfortunatly my botle had very little carbonation to it?
D: I could drink this again would be worth a second try or maybe better on tap.

As if Pants n@ wasn't enough to keep Donnie's days busy...
Appearance is exceptional for a light lager. Pour resembles that of a brown ale or something much maltier. Smells like your typical light beer and tastes moderately better than say a BMC light. Has somewhat of a malty taste with very subtle hop presence but this is still definitely a light beer. Taste is on par with Yuengling Light Lager. Mouthfeel is very average as well and has a very high drinkability as to be expected of a light lager.
All in all, a good beer for a party or for some BMC drinkers to show them that not all beers have to look like piss.

Pours a yellowish color with a very thin head to it which gives way to a small amount of lacing. The aroma is of a faint generic hop and some corn. The taste is of a slight generic hop and some sweet malt backbone. The mouthfeel is slightly carbonated. Overall for a light beer it is solid, you could use as a session beer, but nothing to completely blow you away.
