This beer poured a very deep ruby red color with a thinning off-white head. Much deeper color than I expected. Strong fruity aroma. Theres a heavy fruit and sweet malt flavor and has a nice body to it. Cherries were prominent, along with oranges and peaches. Its a full flavored beer and drinkable. Almost cordial-like. Not much bitterness, but has some hop aroma to it. Very good.

Mahogany in color with a temporary soda-like head. Simple toasted malt aroma with hints of nuts. Carbonation gave this beer a creaminess in the mouth. Nice dark, roasted malt flavor and evidence of mild charcoal. The is was a good beer, but Im a bit confused. It played more like a porter to me than a red ale. I like my reds with more malt and a little less charcoal. Nevertheless, it was a tasty beer.

Well. Here we are again. my boy "rat" and I are sinking with the same ship on this case o' brew. Quite a letdown. But, the color was something to behold, if that carries any weight with the rest of you. Prost!
