My first beer from this brewer, whom I know nothing about. The beer poured out a golden copper color topped off with a thin white head. Spicy, almost peppery hop aroma. There is some fruitiness lingering there too. Like sweet peaches. Although the beer has a sweet malt presence, it finishes dry with a nice oakiness. Leaves a tang on the tongue. A flavorful ale with a nice bitterness. Very good and a beer I would have again. When I took my first sip, it immediately reminded me of Stoudt's Gold Lager, which looks similar and has some familiar characteristics.

Good looking golden amber with a slightly off-white head that quickly dissolved but left a legacy of thin lace on the glass.
Pale malt cracker flavor followed by simple grassy hops and a bit of diacetyl and fruitiness. Pretty straightforward beer that was almost creamy in the mouth because of the tight, but soft carbonation. Bitterness is appropriately restrained given the rest of the beer. This was an easy drinking, low alcohol (4%) session quaffer.

Out of the entire sample case, this was probably my least favorite. The head quickly vanished, which I only approve for some good German brews. The aroma and flavor were something less than awe-inspiring. Rock Creek can and has done better. Prost!
