Bronze-ish amber (bright to light) with a full beige head, good carbonation and lace. Nice earthy malt aroma; more toasty than spicy. Toasty and roasty all malt flavor but not overly sweet. Had a biting aftertaste. Medium bodied and smooth with a light harsh finish.
Not bad but not a repeat beer...
Label states: Potomac River Brewing Co. (the original brewery out of Chantilly, VA - CLOSED) / Rock Creek Brewing Co. (the Beer Marketing Co out of Richmond VA) ... and as I understand it, Rock Creek Beers are brewed by Chesapeake... whew !!!
