per the Mash House website, a new recipe for 2008, though it carries many similarities to the apparently discontinued Hoppy Hour, bittered with Northern Brewer and finished with Cascade
a: comes in a standard pint with a nice head that shows good retention and lacing, the beer is a slightly hazy orange-amber in color
s: aromatic evergreen and tropical hops over a caramel malt body, on the malty side for an IPA but with the hops to back it up
m: medium body and a smooth low-medium carbonation
t: caramel malt body with a big dose of pine hops and some tropical notes as well, disappointed in the bitterness at first but it actually builds as I work my way through the pint, tasty
d: easy, very enjoyable, similar to the Hoppy Hour, but my perception is that seems to be a bit cleaner with an altered hop schedule using the same varieties
$5 pint enjoyed on the patio at the brewpub
