Bought from Marks and Spencers as part of their own brand revamped beer range and clearly marked Bottle Conditioned
in upper case no less!

Poured into a handled dimpled pint pot to reveal mid brownish/dark amber body with a big healthy white head.

The taste is a little of a let down with malts overriding the rather subdued hop taste which is there just not enough for a Yorkshire Bitter.
There is a hint of oatmeal coming from somewhere, probably from the roast and ending in a yeasty slightly soured yeasty taste.

great carbonation and mouthfeel coming from the bottle conditioning, this is pretty much the highlight.

Allright but nowt special like

The brew is clear light amber, many medium bubbles, an off-white head that leaves some lacing. Small curtains.

The smell is vaguely nuts, ripe apples and some grass.

Starting sweet, bread, oatmeal, some ripe apples and pears, finishing with a grassy bitterness.

Medium high carbonation, rather fresh and lively texture, medium small body, a smooth dry finish.

A nice bitter, refreshing and drinkable.
