Though technically brewed to ESB standards, Powerhouse calls this fall seasonal a mild ale. Its character knows neither flaws nor distinction. The Grand Marnier color is casually sensuous but the complete lack of head or lace suggests fatigue. A mild malt aroma ekes out from the glass. Casual caramel malts define the initial flavor before being swept aside by flat English-style bittering. The finish is protracted and somewhat drab.
