An American wheat ale, not a hefeweizen, although I caught a huge blast of banana esters at first whiff. These faded momentarily and never took hold in the flavor which is grainy, grassy, and dry but not tart. The aroma also drifted towards dilute grains as the beer warmed.
Wheat Eez is deep amber colored moving towards yellow in shallower depths, and though visually dense, it is fairly light bodied on the tongue and not hazed with yeasts. This is a nice late afternoon beer, low-key and friendly. Brewed with Belgian wit yeasts.
