Birdsview offers two amber ales on its menu. This one is described as “more malty than Scraps.” It’s also much more purposefully designed and agreeable to drink. As with many other Birdsview beers, Brand X offers a lively mashtun smell of fresh cracked grains. I enjoy this smell a great deal, and it’s not entirely out of place here. But I’ve worked my way through all of Birdsview’s beers and haven’t smelled hops once. Oh well, that’s hardly relevant here.

Brand X showcases a moon crater head, determined lace, a full, glossy mouthfeel, and a dark cinnamon colored body. It is a clean, uncomplicated session ale with a balanced finish and strong carbonation. As for the malts, I would call more grain than malt.
