Cask served in 16oz nonic style pint glass
The color of this beer goes beyond amber, and shifts more towards a brown. Slightly hazy, with a thin tan head that slowly settles to a thin cap. Sticky lacing.
The aroma is very sugary, very sweet, which does a good job of getting you read for what's coming.
Thick and syrupy malt flavors, with a lot of sugar. Brown sugar and molasses is what sticks out the most. Full bodied with low carbonation (cask), the feel of this beer is exactly like syrup. The finish is... very sweet, with molasses lingering.
People who don't like sweet beers, stay away. Coming out of a cask this brew tasts and feels like syrup. I thoroughly enjoyed it, although I found the sweetness to be a little much toward the end. Recommended.
