Purchased this beer at Vintage 50 in a pint glass, (wish I had it in a goblet or snifter.) I had previously tried "Angel's Share" at this same location but they were out.
Nice almond white/pale/smokey white coloration and bright white head. Strong and fruity yet bold grassiness. Smooth and cool for a 9.5% abv.
The head arrived at approximately 1.5 inches and was very appealing.
Lacing was pronounced throughout the finished pint glass.
Drinkability would have been a 5.0 if the temperature of the ale was a bit colder.
Angel's Share which Vintage 50 had on tap 3 months earlier was a bit smoother but the true Belgian smoothness and texture of Devil's Due was authentic.

A - Golden yellow and just a hair cloudy. Champaign-like carbonation pushing up a white fluffy head that fades to whispy lacing on top and leaves great lacing on the glass.
S - Sweet golden malts and alocohol esters. I really smell the pilsner malt but it's grassyness is subdued by the sugar and alcohol. Nice Belgian yeast on the back of the nose.
T&M - Very much like the smell in terms of flavor. Pleasantly sweet but not overly so. Great Belgian yeast flavors and just slight hop taste pushing through the sugars. Alcohol is spicier than sweet I think and balances things well. I like these flavors and tastes true to syle to me.
D - Would love to sip this all night. I was worried it'd be overly sweet but it wasn't. Flavors meld well together and complement one another. Nicely done.
