This is a typical Moscow taste beer. In fact in Soviet period it was most drinkable beer with a name of Zhigulevskoye (pan-soviet brand :) ), but then Samara brewery "Zhigulevskoye Pivo" registered TM, so the new name came...
But the taste is still Soviet: a little bit rotten and rusty. We call it a railroad water.
Nothing to say about taste... just bad. Absence of malt and hops, some chemical bitterness. But you can drink a bottle if it's cooled much.
If you want to get knowledge of what was beer in Soviet period you should try this one. Still very popular in Moscow and... very cheap...
Abv = 4,0%, gravity = 11%
Anyway, it's not Vienna Marzen at all. This is pale lager...

What can I say, its Russian. It doesn't smell of formaldehyde... which is a good thing. Bought a bottle at a going out of business sale... this beer was nasty and probably old... but I tried it and was not impressed. Faint flavor like the polish beer Zywiec but weaker..
