Musky mahogany with a blackish center. A small capping of light tan foam bubbles up quickly and retains itself lightly as it fades to a thin collar. A few spots and bits of lacing are sporatically spewed about the glass.
Sweet tangy aroma of semi tart cherry, a bit of raisin, stale graham crackers, and some off spice yeastiness that adds a basement-like dirtyness or wet dust.
Flavor is pretty mild and singular in tone with a semi sharp and tart tang of dark cherry and a small bit of raisin and date paste. It ends abruptly into a weird yeasty tone of dusty dry spice and tannin. Bland and quite off putting.
The body is what hampers its overall taste, tone, and drinkability as its fairly empty with a watery light slip with a kool aid dry tang of souring tart cherryishness and dusty dirty yeast.
Liked the label with the yuletide red-nosed dog on it, and thats about it. Totally not worth the $14 I paid for it. I can get St. B Abt 12 for under $10 and enjoy that hundred fold!

750ml bottle
A- Poured into a snifter. Pours a dark reddish brown color wtih a light tan head.
S- The aroma is sweet malt and spices with hints of chocolate. Not bad but way too faint. It is hard to pick up much at all in the aroma.
T- The taste like the aroma is sweet malt and spices with some caramel and dark fruits. There are a lot of clashing flavors in the taste in my opinion.
M- The mouthfeel is light bodied and watery with a low amount of carbonation.
D- I'm not too impressed with this offering. I found it a little difficult to finish the entire bottle. The first beer I had from this brewery (Double Hop) was outstanding. This one isn't nearly as tasty and one that I would pass on again.

My bottle is titled "Yule 0L" and is labeled as an ale brewed with spices that weighs in at 6.5%. Pours a murky brown with little head. Nice aromas, fruity and lightly spicy. Smells like a good fruitcake with brandy, cherries, glaced fruits, and dark bready malt. Not heavy at all, in fact the aromas are on the lighter side. The taste is similar, with a delicious fruitiness, some spice, and some late tannic bitterness that helps balance it all. Spicebox and fruit flavors throughout: citrus, pear, caramel, mace, cinammon, and nutmeg. Smooth and delicious beer from a very interesting little brewery.

The aroma has spices, fruit (blueberries), malt, and pine. The appearance is deep mahogany with a small head. The flavor is not as complex. It has some spice but but it's not sweet like I was expecting and has almost non of the other qualities besides malt. The finish is bitter. The palate is thin but somewhat smooth from carbonation. Overall it smells better than it tastes.
