Copenhagen 15/11 2020. 75 cl corked bole from Meny, Øserfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Coisbo's old design with the pretty cool logo with he bole shape in gold and Christmas decorations.
Pours unclear amber with a frothy, mid-sized white head. Settles as hin layer foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, candy-like odor mingling with a weaker ar scent. Slightly metallic. Brown sugar, roasted malts, raisins. Sour grains mixing with metallic alcohol.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is quite bitter with a sweetness lurking beneath. Lingers for a while into a semi-dry finish.
Not overly sweet Christmas Beer.

Rerate, 500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 7.0%. Deep orange to amber colour, moderate off-white head. Malty aroma, notes of caramel and Christmas spices, including anise. Medium sweet and malty flavour, distinct notes of Christmas spices, also some caramel. Skip the anise, please! Not much hops. Not bad, but my first rating was a bit too high.
Original rating: Sample from bottle at local tasting. ABV is 7.0%. Spicy aroma and flavour, fairly nice. Would buy again. Will rerate when I have a full bottle.
