Copenhagen 30/8 2015. 75 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen. According to the label this beer is a remake of the beer used for initialisation in the Johanitter order.
Pours hazy copper brown with an off-white head. Stable. Settles as a thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is rather sweet and of fermented fruit, alcohol and sugar.
Soft carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, a bit viscous, almost flat texture.
Flavor is sweet and of licorice, toffee and sugar. Aftertaste is sugary and reminds of a Rum Topf.
This beer is way too sweet for my taste. If anybody ever offers me a seat in an order of crusading monks I will have to politely decline.
