Copenhagen 29/11 2020. 75 cl corked bottle from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. As Biére de Asnæs Ambre Double. Dark red label with stylized, swooping Eagle about to gouge my eyes out.

Pours murky maroon with a small white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer.

Aroma is medium intense with a prominent, sweet and sugary odor. Caramel, toffee and brown sugar. Toasted malts. Earthy hints of yeast.

Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness and only a rudimentary bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet ad lingers for a bit. Finish is sweet caramel,

Quite sweet take on a Belgian Dark Ale. A bit too heavy on the sugar and light weight on the yeast.
