Julebock is a strong Bavarian beer brewed using the old-fashioned decoction mash method with five different malts, two different types of hops and Santa Claus' secret Christmas spices. This gives the beer a full and strong taste of Christmas Eve. Suitable for the rich and spicy Christmas food or the cold table for a Christmas lunch.

Copenhagen 2/11 2020. 50 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen, Brønshøj Torv, Brønshøj. Drawing of Santa Claus hanging out with a Ram on the label. Pours unclear amber with a big white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a strong, sweet odor mingling with Christmas spices. Sweet candy odor. Sweet cough drops. Cinnamon, cardamom and hints of ginger.

Medium carbonation. Thin, oily, tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Lingers for a bit. Lightly sweet and spicy finish.

Could use a bit more alcohol and a bit less Christmas spices.
